WRITER
In my final year of high school, I wrote an essay titled "Mr Plasticine Man". It was dedicated to a primary school friend of mine, Tin Nguyen, who is now also a Doctor. I admired Tin for his willingness to stand up as an individual and be counted, despite the pressures of society beckoning him to "fit in". We remain close friends till this day. The closing line of that essay was "help me emerge from the fiery kiln of teenage-hood a man". Well, the actual fact is, in retrospect, I'm not quite sure where the line as my self as a child and my self as an adult was drawn, if ever. And I'm ok with that. I hopefully write still today with the openmindedness and optimism of whoever I was when I first set eyes on this world, albeit, with a few grey hairs now.
By similar measure, I've learnt a bit about medicine and health along the way, and I hope to share that knowledge openly with as many people I can, to bring empowerment, with regards to their health, to their lives. My door is open.
